Aer Lingus passengers will now be able to check-in, get travel alerts, check flight information, book flights and review flight details on the airline’s new app and mobile website.
Once customers check in for a flight, the mobile boarding pass on their phones can be scanned at security and boarding. They can also add in their frequent flyer number.
Any customers who experience problems with the app can have their boarding passes reprinted at the check-in desk.
The app follows the launch of several other airlines’ apps allowing check-in and mobile boarding passes. Currently, about 10 percent of travelers use mobile boarding passes, according to QuickMobile.
The Aer Lingus app is currently available to iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Nokia users.
