An Air Canada jet made an emergency landing in the Turks and Caicos Islands on Friday amid fears something had gone wrong with the plane’s hydraulics.
The airline says Flight 1252 landed safely on the island of Providenciales after the captain was warned of a possible problem with the hydraulics. He called for emergency vehicles to meet the Airbus A319 jet as it approached the chain of islands southeast of the Bahamas.
The airliner, which was carrying 110 passengers from Toronto to Providenciales, landed safely and with no injuries. The jet was then taken in for inspection.
